Bless'th art thou among Irish women!


This week's new releases from women in Irish music includes spoken word from SOAK and some exciting album news fro Roísin Murphy.


Here's what's on our radar this week:


Aimée

This week, Dublin pop star Aimée released her new single Naked, along with an empowering music video.


The song is the final release from her debut EP Confession.


Naked is a candid and confessional song that recognises the terrifying experience of having to be vulnerable in our relationships.



Ailbhe Reddy

Between Your Teeth is the second single from Ailbhe Reddy's upcoming debut album Personal History.

The album, which is out on Friday October 2nd 2020, will be launched in The Workman's club with a stunning gig from the Dublin native.




SOAK ft. Gemma Doherty


Turning her hand to spoken word, Soak has released I'm Alive featuring Gemma Doherty of Saint Sister.

The piece was written for a short film by Ellius Grace about "being mindful of the small joys and blessings around you, and making space in your own head when you need it."



Roísin Murphy


Something More is the lead single from Roísin Murphy's upcoming fifth album Roísin Machine.


The album which was announced this morning will be available from September 25th 2020.


It features her new single as well as album edits of previous releases; Incapable, Narcissus, Simulation, Jealousy and Murphy's Law. Along with it comes four brand new tracks.
