COMPETITION! Win a copy of Why I'm No Longer Talking to White People About Race by Reni Eddo-Lodge
We'll send one to you and one to a friend of your choosing!
In Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 25th, George Floyd, a 46-year-old African-American man was murdered by police officer Derek Chauvin.
Following his death the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States began to riot and protest in order to ensure justice for Floyd.
Here in Ireland, demonstrations across the country were organised in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and those fighting for justice in the United States for George as well as other black victims of police brutality.
Since the resurgence of the movement into global consciousness, a conversation surrounding racism and white supremacy has begun.
There is no going back from this conversation, and it's about time that white people faced up to our unconscious biases, and became actively anti-racist.
To help our audience educate themselves further on matters of race, we're giving away two copies of Why I'm No Longer Talking to White People About Race by Reni Eddo-Lodge.
We've got one for you, and one for a friend of your choice.
All you've got to do is head over to our Instagram, make sure you follow us, and comment on our competition post which friend you'd like to send a copy to.
Competition closes on Wednesday June 19th.
