Orla Gartland, Patricia Lalor, KEHLI & more: New releases from Irish women in music
Some bops for your weekend!
At EMPWR we love to empower, support and champion women.
That's why every week we're bringing you releases from Irish women in music across the country, for you to support and champion too.
Here are this weeks releases:
Dublin singer-songwriter Orla Gartland has released her EPs Freckle Season and Why Am I Like This on a double side vinyl.
The EPs were originally released in 2020 and 2019 respectively.
The new release also includes a brand new Vinyl exclusive track Don't Fall In Love With A Musician, along with an acoustic rendition of Figure It Out.
Northern Irish pop-electro artist, NAD, has released an updated version of Maniac 2000 to co-inside with the release of the original remix by Mark McCabe.
Maniac 2020 is rewritten in a contemporary, pop format with retro vibes of the 1983 track and recognisable sounds of the hit Maniac 2000.
BBC Ulster's Across The Line, called her previous single Love Victim "the best song in the world."
14-year-old Patricia Lalor has released her third EP Do It Again.
Featuring songs Should I Let You Know, Self Aware, Alone and title track, Do It Again, Patricia from County Wexford began releasing music at age 13.
IMRO have previously dubbed the young star as "possibly the most unique and exciting singer and songwriter creating music in Ireland today."
Ur So Cool featuring Louis III is the fourth single from 19-year-old Dubliner KEHLI.
Blending bold and progressive pop aesthetics with a distinctly R&B flow, this track is a hit in the making.
