By Clodagh Meaney

The Sexual Health Centre have announced they are to operate a free condom postal service during Covid-19.

The clinic announced the measures as part of their Safer Sex campaign.

Advising the public on whether they must choose between being safe or sexually active they said: "You can be both safe and sexually active if neither you nor your sexual partner have Covid-19."

"Please note that some people carrying Covid-19 will be asymptomatic i.e. show no symptoms at all, so while intimacy is as important now as ever, it is vital you take extra precautions regarding any physical contact with others."

"It is important that you avoid close contact, including sex, with anyone outside of your own household."

Announcing the service which will allow people to access safe sex while isolating or quarantine, the clinic advised that a member of staff will sanitise condom wrappers before posting.

The clinic based in Cork is also offering free counselling sessions via phone and video call to anyone who may be experiencing a foetal or fatal foetal abnormality.

If you wish to avail of either of these services you can contact The Sexual Health Centre on 021-4276676 or by emailing info@sexualhealthcentre.com.
