Small Moons

I’ll take once more, and I’ll steal your eyes
By Ella Bowler

I’ll take once more, and I’ll steal your eyes
Small moons that lie in the shallows of your skin
I’ll reach in, and retrieve what’s mine.
small moons, full of stars
small moons, entrapping me.
In fragility, vulnerability, in betweens.
Visions of a mouth and cheeks
raised, leaking warmth and contentment.
I’ll take once more, and I’ll steal your eyes
drop them where my skin dips.
All I will leave is my taste in your mouth,
and you will never be able to spit it out
You will never be able to spit it out
